We keep it honest.

We’re collision-first. That means we’re upfront about what’s not included at launch.

Theft

Not covered at launch. May be added in a future phase.

Racing

Competition and sanctioned race events are excluded.

Cosmetic damage

Surface scratches without structural damage don’t qualify.

Low-value bikes

Bikes under $1,500 aren’t eligible — premiums don’t support viable payouts.

Built in Falmouth, for Maine cyclists.
Waters Wheel Collision logo

Waters Wheel Collision started with a simple observation: cyclists with serious bikes have no good options when it comes to crash protection. Home insurance doesn’t cover it well. Most “bike insurance” is theft-focused. And repair bills for a quality bike can run into the thousands.

We’re building a collision-first insurance product designed specifically for Maine’s cycling community — commuters, e-bike riders, and anyone who rides a bike worth protecting.

Repair-first

We fix bikes, we don’t just cut checks. Approved shops, honest estimates.

No fluff

Three tiers, clear pricing, no hidden exclusions buried in fine print.

Collision coverage pays for damage to your bike caused by a crash or accident while riding — things like a bent frame, broken fork, damaged wheels, or drivetrain damage from an impact. It’s not theft, it’s not general wear, and it’s not cosmetic scratches. It’s the damage that happens when you go down.
Report the incident quickly after it happens. You’ll submit photos of the damage, a description of what occurred, and a repair estimate from an approved shop. We’ll review and authorize the repair. Your deductible applies to the final payout.
You’ll need proof of purchase for your bike and your bike’s serial number. This helps us confirm value, prevent fraud, and process claims accurately. We may also ask for photos of the bike at enrollment.
Yes — e-bikes are eligible under all three tiers based on their value. The Premium tier includes motor and battery evaluation as part of the claims process. We may ask additional questions about your e-bike’s specs at enrollment.
We work with a network of approved repair shops. At launch in the Falmouth and greater Portland area, we’ll be building this network with local shops. In some cases we may be able to work with a shop outside the network — contact us to discuss.
We’re currently in the formation and licensing phase. We expect to begin enrolling Founding Riders in the coming months. Join the waitlist to get early access and a discount on your first year.
We’re launching with a focus on southern Maine — Falmouth, Portland, Yarmouth, and surrounding communities. We plan to expand statewide. If you’re outside this area, join the waitlist and we’ll notify you when coverage reaches you.
